KNOMAD and the World Bank, as part of Global Fintech Fest 2022, organized a panel discussion on “A Global Roadmap for Cross-Border Payments” on 21 September 2022.

In this session, eminent experts and policymakers discussed progress in the G20 roadmap for improving cross-border payments adopted in 2020, and what it would mean for Fintech-enabled remittances. The panelists will address a subset of the five thematic areas of the roadmap: (i) public and private sector commitment; (ii) regulatory, supervisory, and oversight frameworks; (iii) enhancing existing payment infrastructures and arrangements; (iv) improving data sharing and market practices; and (v) exploring the potential of new payment infrastructures and arrangements.
