Event description:

Drawing on recent interviews with 273 migrants in 15 countries of origin, transit and destination, this BBL asks what prompts irregular migrants to return home and how policy interventions can make their return sustainable. It seeks to understand the migrant return decision, develop a framework for understanding and assessing sustainability of return, and examine what factors influence sustainable return. The BBL also reflects on the experience of collaborative research including an academic, international organization, and government partner.
